I love those necklaces from Stone & Honey. They’re delicate and sweet. I need a lot of delicate and sweet in my life right now.

Weird but still very lovely June 9, 2011
This is just my type of jewelry because this is how I hope people perceive me: weird but still very lovely.
The duo of creators describe their work:
WEIRD but still very LOVELY
COMPLEX but still very SMPLE
RAW but still very SOFT
FUNNY but still very SERIOUS
SAME but still very DIFFERENT
ABSTRACT but still very CONCRETE
CHEAP but still very EXCLUSIVE
NICE but still very DANGEROUS
BOYISH but still very FEMININE
I’m adding the cloud necklace to my wish list right now. You can buy Okiiko accessories here.

Hidden Memories March 28, 2011
Today, I came across this beautiful work by Dutch stylist & jewelry designer Miranda van Dijk and I love it. If I got that correctly: the brooches are all made of old pictures that the artist has found in grandparents attic printed on cotton fabrics. Looking at her work, I felt nostalgic (but a nice kind of nostalgia, not the gloomy kind) and it reminded me of some old unfinished project from art school (if one day I can turn all those unfinished projects into something, I promise I’ll share). You can see more of her work here and it’s available to buy here.
I’ve been struggling a bit with this blog lately, mainly because I’m busy getting back into doing things myself and also because I’m never too sure how I want this blog to be. Sometime I’d like to get more personal and tell you all about things that actually matters (as much as I love shoes and jewelery, I have a little more depth you know). But today I’ve decided that this is my blog and I can do what I want with it. So hopefully you’ll stick around for a while. So this was it, my first attempt to be more “me” here.
Nature to Wear October 27, 2010
It’s been a long (shameful) time since my last post. But tonight I was going through some archive and had to share this.
(Plus Xmas is coming… you never know who might read this). The pieces are from Barbara Prouvost and you can find them at Arik Levy.
I’m not posting much but I’m busy with a project that I will hoprfully share soon (well it has to get a little prettier… we’re just not there yet).
Kyoko Hashimoto February 10, 2010
Few days ago, one of my friend has pointed my growing obsession for jewelries. I didn’t actually realise until she said it… now I’m looking at my post for the last months and… duuuuh! The funny thing is that I don’t even wear that much jewelries, but I have to say if I was to start my life all over (not the early teens stage please) I’d probably try to give it a go as a jewelery designer. For now I’m just enjoying admiring other peoples work. More about Kyoko Hashimoto here.
Happy Crappy Day
I’d probably use the crappy day option at the moment… sad days I’m telling you, I wish I’d be one of those strong person with a brilliant optimistic spirit. But I am not, I am someone who’d love to wear a crappy day ring. Rings are by Weaselfactory.
Keyman Design December 15, 2009
I love those pieces designed by Keyman. I’ve found them on Erayo, a B2B online trade show dedicated to designed products. The idea behind Erayo is the believe that exclusive products should ‘cross the ocean’ online. It works! I can already see that beautiful brooch crossing the ocean just for me.
Bloodsuckers rings November 30, 2009
This one is for all my friends who are obsessed with the Twilight saga at the moment. I personally don’t get it… no seriously I don’t. I keep staring at Edward and I just don’t get what’s the fuss is about (he’s waaaaaaay below my standard says the cheeky voice inside of me). But anyway ladies, you can add this ring to your Christmas wish list… who knows…
Christmas is coming November 25, 2009
Christmas is coming soon. Yes, I’m only realising now… because I’m very slow at those things. I really need to get started just thinking about what would be nice to get friends and family. I have no idea who I could get this ring to, but I’m dying to buy it just for the craic.
